My Story

Here's what my resume doesn't tell you ...

As a kid I had to be involved in everything from sports, to the school newspaper, to starring in whatever play was in production at the time. It was through my involvement that I discovered my passion for people and storytelling.

My appetite for success granted me the opportunity to graduate from high school at 16 years old. I immediately began taking classes at the local community college which then led to my transfer to Virginia Tech in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree.

While away at school, I fell into "old habits" - I joined every club and organization that even remotely piqued my interest. My days usually started in the newsroom covering the latest play performed and ended on the baseball field where I got to work directly alongside the action. These experiences gave me the confidence to contribute my own ideas, and taught me how to excel under-pressure.

About a semester into my time at Virginia Tech, the coronavirus threw a wrench into my meticulously laid out college plans, but my drive to work in media was unwavering. I spent my days conducting phone interviews with my favorite television producers and sports commentators, and I spent my nights learning the ins and outs of editing softwares such as Adobe Premiere Pro, and AVID Media Composer.

Before graduate school, I spent a gap year working in a bookstore, honing in on my writing, and eating lots of pasta while backpacking across Italy.

Today, I am living and working in New York City pursuing a masters degree in Journalism with a Digital Storytelling concentration.

My personality is fueled by socialization so when I'm not at school or working, you can find me outside of NBC waiting for tickets to Saturday Night Live, or in the stands at an NHL game cheering (screaming) for my favorite team to "move the puck!"
